The box office accolades continue pile in for Avengers: Endgame. The highly successful sequel has now reached $1.48 billion at the worldwide box office (via BoxOfficeMojo). That includes $427 million for domestic receipts and an overseas take that has reached over $1 billion after just seven days of release.

Currently, Endgame is the third biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment ever, behind only The Avengers ($1.518 billion) and Avengers: Infinity War ($2.048 billion). It should surpass the first Avengers movie in a matter of days. It currently sits at No. 8 on the Top 10 highest-grossing films ever, but it should climb higher up the ranks before it finishes its initial theatrical run.

The film is also doing exceptionally well in China. ComingSoon reports that Wednesday estimates for the May Day holiday in many countries, such as China, put the film at another $74 million. That would put its full take for China at $463 million. That would make Endgame the highest grossing foreign release in the country in history.

Only four films have surpassed over $2 billion at the worldwide box office: Avatar, Titanic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Avengers: Infinity War. Once Endgame surpasses Jurassic World‘s $1.6 billion, that will put it in the Top 5 highest grossing films ever.
