Bob Odenkirk Doesn’t See Better Call Saul Revival As Likely

Bob Odenkirk would potentially be open to a Better Call Saul revival if the idea was right, but he doesn’t think it’s likely. Odenkirk starred as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and the spinoff, the latter of which ran from 2015 to 2022 and is often called the greatest show to never win an Emmy despite 53 nominations. Odenkirk appeared on Today promoting Nobody 2 and was asked if he would be open to reprising the role.

“Of course I would,” Odenkirk said (per Deadline). “That part turned my life around, and I’ve given more to that part than anything I’ve done. Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the best writers who ever worked in TV. So if they were to think of something in that world, of course I would do it.”

He went on to add, “But I don’t think so. I think they’ve all moved on to some more amazing projects that you’ll soon see… He’s not getting out [of prison]. If there’s another Saul show, it takes place inside prison.”

Better Call Saul served as a prequel spinoff to Breaking Bad and followed morally flexible lawyer in the years before he ended up in Walter White’s orbit.
