Succession came to an end on Sunday, and star Brian Cox has written an open letter praising the cast and crew of the show. The series finale aired last night on HBO, and Cox — who portrayed patriarch Logan Roy on the show — posted to his Instagram Stories thanking the cast and crew of the series.

Cox wrote:

We have now come to the end. And what has been, in my career, certainly the greatest work experience ever. The harmony between crew and cast was truly amazing. It was on it’s way to become a great series but the Love and commitment from crew to cast and writers, made it memorable. I would like to thank all of us in the making and creating of this show from the very bottom of my heart.

Cox exited the series in the third episode of the just-competed final season when Logan died. Cox had said earlier this month that he felt his character was written out “too early,” noting in an interview, “I was fine with it ultimately, but I did feel a little bit rejected. You know, I felt a little bit like all the work I’ve done and finally I’m going to, you know, end up as an ear on a carpet of a plane.”
