Deadline reports that Columbia Pictures has moved the upcoming action movie Bullet Train back two weeks from July 15 to July 29. The film will now open in the spot formerly held by Black Adam, which was recently moved back to the fall. This gives it some more time away from Marvel’s Thor: Love & Thunder, which opens July 8.

Bullet Train will now open against Focus Features’ horror film Vengeance and Paramount’s animated movie Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.

The film stars Brad Pitt as an assassin who seemingly accepts an easy retrieval job, only the object he’s meant to acquire is also wanted by several other professional killers. It also stars Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazie Beetz, Michael Shannon, Andrew Koji and Benito A Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny). It is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Deadpool 2).

Meanwhile, Columbia also moved 3000 Pictures’ Where the Crawdads Sing up from July 22 to the spot previously held by Bullet Train. That film opens against STX’s horror movie Bedrest and Focus’ drama Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. It was directed by Olivia Newman and stars Daisy Edgar Jones, Harris Dickinson, David Strathairn and Taylor John Smith. It’s based on the best-selling novel by Delia Owens.
