Captain America 4 In the Works With Falcon and the Winter Soldier Showrunner (SPOILERS)
WARNING: SPOILERS follow for the season finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Marvel is moving ahead on a new Captain America movie in the wake of Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s season finale. THR reports that Malcolm Spellman is developing a fourth Cap film that he will co-write alongside FATWS staff writer Dalan Musson who wrote the highly-praised fifth episode of the series.
While plot details are not yet known, the finale of Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) take up the mantle of Captain America, a role he has decided to stay in at the end of the series. Meanwhile, John Walker (Wyatt Russell) has become U.S. Agent and Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) has received a pardon and rejoined the government but has also been revealed as the Power Broker. There are many potential elements in play here coming out of the series.
No director is yet attached to the film. Falcon and the Winter Soldier has earned critical raves for the most part and was Disney+’s biggest series debut ever, beating both WandaVision and The Mandalorian.
