CBS Renews Hawaii Five-0, MacGyver, Nine More

CBS has handed down another round of renewals, granting new seasons to Hawaii Five-0, MacGyver and nine other series. The broadcast network announced on Wednesday that they have renewed those two shows along with Blue Bloods, Bull, Madam Secretary, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Survivor, The Amazing Race, 48 Hours and 60 Minutes.

Most of these renewals were entirely expected, and were predicted to be renewed in our Renewal Predictions. The exceptions were MacGyver, which has had iffy ratings but stayed on the bubble thanks to its stability throughout the season and solid international revenue. Madame Secretary, on the other hand, was predicted for a probable cancellation. CBS likely considers its awards value a worthy offset to its low ratings.

The shows join The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Mom, NCIS, SEAL Team and SWAT as announced renewals for the network. Shows without decisions so far include Kevin Can Wait, Life in Pieces, Man With a Plan, Criminal Minds, Instinct, Superior Donuts, Scorpion, 9JKL and Living Biblically.
