Colin Farrell To Reprise Role Of Penguin In The Batman Spinoff Series

Colin Farrell is heading back to Gotham courtesy of HBO Max, signing on to reprise his role as the Penguin and executive produce a The Batman spinoff series. Variety has confirmed that Farrell will again play the Penguin, a role he plays in the upcoming Matt Reeves-directed The Batman, in the new series which will focus on Penguin’s rise to power in Gotham’s criminal underworld.

The series will be written by Lauren LeFranc and be executive produced by Farrell, Reeves, and Dylan Clark. The Batman is set to release on March 4th, 2022.

HBO Max has another spinoff series from that movie in development, which is set in the Gotham Police Department and is being run by Joe Barton.
