– The CW has revealed some big news for broadcast TV, announcing that they will expand to Sunday nights next season. The network announced that starting in the fall, the network will add Sunday to its weekday lineup. That makes The CW the final nationwide broadcast network to air original programming across six out of the seven days of the week.

The news is a major boost to the hopes of Jane the Virgin fans, which has been On the Bubble throughout the season in its Friday night timeslot. The network has been ramping up its pilot seasons with nine currently in contention for the fall season. That includes a reboot of Charmed, and one of Roswell. Other pilots include supernatural drama Dead Inside, the Supernatural spinoff Wayward Sisters, drama In the Dark, the sci-fi comedic drama The End of the World As We Know It, dysfunctional family dramedy Playing Dead, football drama Spencer and revenge drama Skinny Dip.

“By expanding to six nights, The CW is now able to give our fans even more of the series they’re so passionate about,” said CW President Mark Pedowitz in a statement. “Over the past seven years, The CW has added more than 80 hours of original scripted programming to its schedule – now that number can continue to climb, as we grow our broadcast lineup, and continue to add content on every platform.”
