D23: Marvel Studios Reveals Cast For Thunderbolts, Captain America: New World Order

Joblo reports that today at D23, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the cast of the upcoming theatrical film Thunderbolts. The film will be based on the comic series, which featured a group of anti-heroes and reformed supervillains.

The film will star Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Wyatt Russsell as John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John Kamen as Ghost and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The film will be directed by Jake Schreier from a script by Eric Pearson. The movie, which is part of Marvel’s Phase 5, arrives on July 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, some more cast members were also revealed for Captain America: New World Order, the first film with Anthony Mackie in the role, also stars Sebastian Stan along with Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly and Danny Ramirez. Tim Blake Nelson, who appeared in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, will return to play The Leader. That film will be directed by Julius Onah from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. It will be released on May 3, 2024.
