Danny Boyle is out as director of the unnamed twenty-fifth James Bond film. The official James Bond Twitter account posted an announcement from Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig that Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) has stepped aside due to creative differences. You can see the post below.

Boyle was announced back in May as the director for the film, which will see Craig reprise his role as 007. There was no announcement of another director to take on the film.

Boyle’s Trainspotting collaborator John Hodge wrote the script for the film based on an idea by Doyle. Production was set to begin in December, and there is no word on how this will impact plans for the movie. As of now, the film will release in the US on November 8th, 2019.
