Disney Confirms Updated Release Schedule for Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Indiana Jones 5, More

Disney (via Variety) has confirmed the updated schedule for their upcoming Marvel movies:

* Black Widow will now be released on November 6th, 2020 (which was previously the release date for The Eternals).

* The Eternals will now open on February 12th, 2021.

* Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will now open on May 7th, 2021.

* Doctor Strange 2 is now set for November 5th, 2021.

* Thor: Love and Thunder will now open on February 18th, 2022.

* Black Panther 2 will open on May 6th, 2022.

* Captain Marvel 2 is set for July 8th, 2022.

Meanwhile, the new Pixar film, Soul, is still slated for a June 19th release while Mulan has been delayed until July 24th. Disney notes that both of those dates could be pushed back if theaters remain closed then.

Jungle Cruise, which stars The Rock, is now scheduled for July 20th, 2021, an almost one year delay for the film.

Indiana Jones 5 is now slated for July 29th, 2022.

Artemis Fowl will no longer be released in theaters at all (it was scheduled to open May 29th) and instead go straight to Disney Plus.

The release dates for West Side Story (December 18th) and The Last Duel (December 25th) remain unchanged.

Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds has been pushed back from July 3rd to December 11th, and the new Wes Anderson movie, The French Dispatch, has been pushed back from July 24th to October 16th.
