Edgar Wright Likely To Direct Stephen King’s The Running Man

Deadline reports that Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver) is in talks with Paramount Pictures to direct a new adaptation of Stephen King’s The Running Man. The 1982 book, which King wrote under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, was made into a movie in 1987 which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Wright and Michael Bacall are expected to write the story which will be more faithful to King’s novel. The novel is a dystopian thriller
