Emily Bett Rickards Reflects On Playing Mildred Burke In Queen of the Ring

Emily Bett Rickards recently shared her thoughts on playing Mildred Burke in the new biopic Queen of the Ring. Rickards stars as the barrier-breaking women’s wrestling icon in the new biopic that released today in theaters, and she spoke with Denise Salcedo about her role in the movie.

“She not only was inspiring to me in so many ways, she was a challenge,” Rickards said (per Fightful). “She challenged me to walk differently, talk differently. She’s always in my head now, if I’m ever going to give up, she’s the voice that comes into my head.”

She added, “Yeah, she’ll stay with me for a very long time and I’m so grateful and honored I had the chance to get to know her.”
