Emmy Nominations: Severance Dominates With 25 Nods, The Penguin Scores 24

The 2025 Emmy nominations are in, with Apple TV+’s Severence taking the most at 27 nods. The TV Academy announced the nominations on Tuesday morning, with the sci-fi drama/thriller scoring nominations across the field including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama (Adam Scott), Lead Actress in a Drama (Britt Lower) and more.
Behind Severance was HBO Max’s The Penguin with 24 nods as well as The Studio, tying The Bear’s 2024 record for a comedy series with 23 nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actor in a Comedy (Seth Rogen), Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Kathryn Hahn), and more. The White Lotus also scored 23 nominations, while Hacks earned 14.
HBO Max led the list of nominations in terms of service/platforms with 142 nominations, followed by Netflix 120 and Apple with 79. You can see the full list of main categroy nominations below.
This year’s Emmy Awards are currently set to take place on September 14th live on CBS and Paramount+.
