Final Trailer for The Marvels Reveals a Major Cameo

Marvel Studios and Disney dropped the final trailer for The Marvels this week ahead of the film’s debut set for Friday. The trailer originally aired during Monday Night Football on ESPN.

The new trailer also has a major reveal, with the Asgardian Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) returning to the MCU in the film. Thompson last appeared as Valkyrie in last year’s Thor: Love & Thunder. You can check out the new trailer below.

The new trailer also has a look back at The Avengers and the war against Thanos. In The Marvels, Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) must form a team with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and teen hero Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) to face a formidable new enemy Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton), a radical member of the Kree race and also an Accuser.

The sequel picks up after Carol has already reclaimed her identity from the Kree and taken revenge ofn the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a now-destabilized universe. After searching an anomalous wormhole linked to Dar-Benn, Carol’s powers become entangled with with Kamala Khan and her estranged niece, Captain Monica Rambeau. Together they must learn to work together to save the universe as The Marvels.

The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Saagar Shaikh. It’s directed by Nia DaCosta from a script she co-wrote with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik. The film hits theaters on November 10.
