Apes Rule The World in First Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Teaser

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes arrives next year, and the first teaser for the next chapter in the saga is online. 20th Century Studios released the teaser for the upcoming adventure film, which you can check out below.

The trailer shows that the simian society that rose up in the previous three films now rules completely, years after the passing of Caesar (Andy Serkis) in the previous film. Humans have regressed to a more primitive state, and from the looks of it mankind’s fate may be the source of a new war among the apes.

The new film is directed by Wes Ball and stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, William H. Macy, Eka Darville, Travis Jeffery, Sara Wiseman, Neil Sandilands, Ras-Samuel Welda’abzgi, Dichen Lachman, and Lydia Peckham. It releases on May 24th, 2024 and is discribed as follows:

Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
