Freaky Creators Reteaming For ‘Back to the Future Meets Scream‘ Movie Time Cut

The creators of horror comedy Freaky are teaming back up for a new film described as “Back to the Future Meets Scream.” THR reports that Michael Kennedy and Christopher Landon, who co-wrote the well-received Katherine Newton and Vince Vaughn flick, will reteam for Time Cut. The film will star Madison Bailey (Outer Banks) and Antonia Gentry (Ginny & Georgia) and is expected to begin filming in Canada last month.

Landon has experience with time travel films and slasher films, having previously combined both with the Happy Death Day franchise. Freaky also had slasher and sci-fi elements, featuring Newton and Vaughn as as a high school teenager and serial killer who swap bodies due to a cursed knife. Plot details on the new film are being kept under wraps.
