FXX No Longer Making Animated Deadpool Series

FXX’s plans for an animated Deadpool series is down for the count. The cable network has announced that the show will not move forward on Saturday night. The series was set to be executive produced and written by Donald Glover and Stephen Glover, who would have served as showrunnersz for the series. FXX gave a ten-episode order for the first season in May of last year.

“Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s Deadpool animated series,” the network said in a statement. “FX will no longer be involved with the project. FX and Marvel have an ongoing relationship through our partnership on Legion, which will continue.”

It’s possible that Marvel TV will shop the project elsewhere, though right now it isn’t clear if it will happen.
