Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny may have been a miss with a number of fans, but Harrison Ford is still happy he made it. The fifth and final film in the franchise released in 2023 and was a flop, losing an estimated $143 million for Disney due to its enormous $300 million budget. Ford spoke with the Wall Street Journal and was asked about the film’s box office failure, to which he gave a non-bothered response.

“S**t happens,” Ford told the outlet. “I was really the one who felt there was another story to tell. When [Indy] had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his ass and stick him out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened.”

He concluded, “I’m still happy I made that movie.”

The film received a mild response from critics and fans on the whole gave it positive marks, but there were vocal critics and the film had a middling performance with just $384 million worldwide.
