Mike Flanagan has delivered two seasons for Netflix’s Haunting Of series in Hill House and Bly Manor, and that’s all we’re getting for now at least. Flanagan, who created both The Haunting Of Hill House and The Haunting Of Bly Manor, took to Twitter to answer a fan question about the possibility of future installments in the anthology horror series.

Asked about a follow-up chapter, Flanagan wrote:

“At the moment there are no plans for more chapters. Never say never, of course, but right now we are focused on a full slate of other [Intrepid Pictures] projects for 2021 and beyond. If things change we will absolutely let everyone know!”

Flanagan generally has a busy schedule; his resume includes Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game, and Doctor Sleep on the big screen. He currently has two horror TV shows in development in Midnight Mass and The Midnight Club, both in the works for Netflix. The first stars Annabeth Gish, Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Alex Essoe, Rahul Kohli, Kristin Lehman, Robert Longstreet, Igby Rigney, and Annarah Shephard and centers on an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. The Midnight Club, meanwhile, will follow a group of five terminally ill patients at Rotterdam Home, who begin to gather together at midnight to share scary stories.
