HBO Max will be releasing the much-anticipated Snyder Cut of Justice League early to mid-next year, it has been revealed. According to Variety, WarnerMedia Entertainment executive Sandra Dewey delivered a keynote address at the virtual Cannes market on Tuesday and said that the new cut of the DC Extended Universe film will arrive in “early to mid-2021,” without giving a more specific date.

The Snyder Cut was officially announced in May after a sustained campaign by DC fans to get Warner Bros. to release the cut. The original announcement said merely 2021 without any further window.

The cut will not be cheap; HBO Max’s Bob Greenblatt said in an interview that reports of a $20 million and $30 million cost to complete the cut was inaccurate, responding, “Yeah, I’ll just say I wish it was just $30 million. I’ll stop there, but it’s an enormous undertaking and very complex.”
