Hideo Kojima Praises Netflix’s The Queen of Villains
Netflix’s Dump Matsumoto biopic series The Queen of Villains has a fan in video game icon Hideo Kojima. The Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding developer posted to Twitter on Saturday to praise the series, which is based on Matsumoto’s career.
Kojima noted that he knew Matsumoto” and the Crash Gals and got emotional over the show, writing:
I thought I would take a peek at “Queen Villains” on Netflix but ended up watching all the way through to the last episode, episode 5. It started with “Beauty Pair” since I knew “Dump Matsumoto” and the “Crash Gals” in real time, it was nostalgic. Takumi Saito was also in the show. The death match in Osaka was pretty good and I cried at the end. Yuriyan Retriever and Erika Karata were both fantastic. By the way, I liked pro wrestlers, Satoshi Sayama, the first “Tiger Mask” and “Mighty Inoue”.
The show debuted on Netflix last week.
