House of the Dragon Sets Season Two Premiere For June
HBO return to Westeros for a second season of House of the Dragon is set to start this summer. Variety reports that Warner Bros. Discovery streaming and gaming chief J.B. Perrette revealed at Morgan Stanley’s Technology, Media and Telecom conference on Monday that the second season will premiere in June. A specific date was not revealed.
The show was a hit when it premiered in fall of 2022 and season two began filming in April of last year. It was able to complete filming despite the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes because scripts were completed before filming began.
Season two will see the return of Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans along with new cast members Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
