Idris Elba Joins Sonic the Hedgehog 2 As Knuckles

Idris Elba is getting his running shows on, joining the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as Knuckles. Elba confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday that he will voice the echidna in the upcoming sequel as you can see below.

Elba, who is currently in theaters as Bloodsport in The Suicide Squad, joins a cast that includes James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, and Shemar Moore. The sequel to the 2020 hit is currently set for an April 8th, 2022 release date.
