First Inside Out 2 Teaser Introduces Anxiety Into the Mix

Pixar is bringing Inside Out 2 to theaters next summer, and the first teaser introduces a new emotion in Anxiety. Pixar released the teaser trailer on Thursday, and you can check it out below. It features the arrival of Anxiety as played by Maya Hawke to the mix of emotions who were in the first film.

The film is directed by Kelsey Mann and releases on June 14th, 2024. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black are back as Joy, Sadness, and Anger. Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling will not be back as Fear and Disgust, and have been recast with Tony Hale and Liza Lapira. The film is described as follows:

Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.
