Issa Rae To Voice Spider-Woman In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Sequel

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Issa Rae, star of HBO’s series Insecure, is set to voice Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman, in the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. She joins a cast that includes the returning Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld as Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen, respectively.

The film will be directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson from a script by Phil Lord, Chris Miller and David Callaham. Lord and Miller will also produce with Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, Christina Steinberg and Alonzo Ruvalcaba. Peter Ramsey will executive produce with Aditya Sood. The sequel arrives on October 7, 2022.
