James Gunn Says Things Are ‘In Flux’ Regarding Damian Wayne In Batman: Brave and the Bold

James Gunn is happy with the Batman: The Brave and the Bold script but says that things are “in flux” regarding Damian Wayne’s status. The DC film was among the initially-announced DC Universe: Chapter One plans, which at the time said that Batman would be paired with his son Damian Wayne, whose mother is Talia al-Ghul. Gunn gave an update on the film when speaking with IGN, and you can see some highlights below:

On the status of the script: “The Brave and the Bold script, I like where we are.”

On the age range of Batman: “No, I think you have to wait to see the movie. Some things have changed. Plenty of things are in flux on what his situation is with his parentage and all that stuff, so I wouldn’t take any of it – Yeah, I mean, the actor who wants to… Listen, first of all, I can’t tell you the amount of big actors that have told me they want to be Batman. I think you’d have a harder time finding actors who don’t want to be Batman. He’s the one character everyone wants to play. That’s the truth.”

On whether and Damian is still in the film: “I think you have to wait to see exactly what’s happening.”
