Jodie Foster Set To Star In True Detective Season 4

True Detective has found the star for its next season, with Jodie Foster signed on for the upcoming fourth season. Deadline reports that the Oscar winner will star in the new season as Detective Liz Danvers, making her return to the small screen for the first time since 1975.

The new season has the subtitle of “Night Country” and is weitten by Issa Lopez and Alan Page Arriaga. Lopez is expected to direct several episodes of the season, which is described as follows:

The series is centered around Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro who are looking to solve the case of six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanishing without a trace, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska,” reads the synopsis. “The pair will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.
