John Cena and Idris Elba To Team Up For New Action Comedy Heads of State

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that John Cena and Idris Elba are set to team up for the action comedy Heads of State. The Amazon Studios film will be directed by Ilya Naishuller, who previously helmed Nobody.

Amazon picked up the project after a Zoom presentation in October 2020. Peter Safran and John Rickard will produce with The Safran Company. The film is being described as Air Force One meets Midnight Run. The script was written by Harrison Query, with Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec doing the most recent draft.
