Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming in December, and director Jon Watts has teased the film as having a pretty major scale. Watts spoke with Empire for a new interview and compared the film to Avengers: Endgame in terms of the scope.

“We’re definitely trying to be ambitious … It’s Spider-Man: Endgame,” Watts said, with the outlet saying that he was “laughing but seemingly not joking.”

Tom Holland also talked about the film, noting, “When I was first pitched the idea, I was like, ‘Wow, that would be awesome if we could pull it off. But there’s just no way it’s going to work. You’re just not going to be able to get everyone to do what they need to do. It’s just not going to happen.’ But it did happen. And it’s crazy.”

The film is set to release on December 17th and stars Holland as the titular superhero, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.
