Krysten Ritter To Return As Jessica Jones In Daredevil: Born Again Season Two

Krysten Ritter will return to her role as Jessica Jones in the MCU, joining the cast of Daredevil: Born Again season two. As THR notes, it was announced in the Marvel segment of Disney’s upfront presentation on Tuesday that Ritter will reprise her fan-favorite role as the superpowered private eye in the second season of the Marvel series.

This will mark Ritter’s return to the role, which earned her critical raves and strong fan praise, after last playing her in the show’s third season. Jessica Jones was one of the five Netflix series that was produced through and released on Netflix alongside Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher. The Defenders was the miniseries that brought Daredevil, Jessica, Luke, and Danny Rand/Iron Fist together.

Born Again has proven popular with fans as it continues the Netflix series and folds those shows officially into the MCU continuity, with appearances from characters like Kamala Khan’s father and Jack Duquesne, aka Swordsman, from Hawkeye. Season two will pick up after the events of the finale, which saw Mayor Wilson Fisk declare marshall law in New York City and outlaw vigilantism as he imprisons dissidents, all while Matt (Charlie Cox) recruited a team of civilian allies to try and save the city from his archrival.
