Legendary is teaming up with Apple for a massive TV series based on the former’s Monsterverse featuring Godzilla and the other Titans. Deadline reports that Chris Black (Star Trek Enterprise) and Matt Fraction, the writer of such comic books as Hawkeye and Sex Criminals, are co-creating the show based on the Monsterverse movies.

The series will be executive produced by the two, alongside Safehouse Pictures’ Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell as well as Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita of Toho Co. Ltd. Black will serve as showrunner on the series.

The series is Legendary’s latest expansion of the Monsterverse which has been seen in 2014’s Godzilla, 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong.

The announcement from Apple noted that the series is “following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real … [exploring] one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.”

Monarch is the monster-hunting organization seen in all the films since Skull Island.
