Leonardo DiCaprio Joins the Revolution In Trailer For Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another

Leonardo DiCaprio is a revolutionary trying to save his daughter in the first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. Warner Bros. Pictures released the first trailer for the black comedy on Thursday, and you can check it out below.
The trailer shows DiCaprio’s character trying to make contact with someone over the phone and running through a series of passwords, but gets tripped up on the last one. He is incredulous when he gets hung up on before we see him joining a revolutionary activist group and finds himself in over his head.
A plot synopsis hasn’t yet been revealed for the film, though it is said to be a retelling of Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. That book is described as follows:
“Here, in an Orwellian 1984, Zoyd Wheeler and his daughter Prairie search for Prairie’s long-lost mother, a Sixties radical who ran off with a narc.”
It has been reported that despite the book’s 1980s setting, this film will be set in the present day. Anderson wrote and directs the film which stars DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti, as well as Wood Harris and Alana Haim. It is set to release on September 26th.
