Mel Gibson & Danny Glover Ready To Return for Lethal Weapon 5

It looks like Lethal Weapon 5 is going to happen. Producer Dan Lin revealed during a roundtable discussion for The Hollywood Reporter that not only is Lethal Weapon 5 being worked on, but that the original stars — Mel Gibson and Danny Glover — are ready to return for the film.

“We’re trying to make the last Lethal Weapon movie. And Dick Donner’s coming back. The original cast is coming back. And it’s just amazing. The story itself is very personal to him. Mel and Danny are ready to go, so it’s about the script.”

Lethal Weapon 5 has famously been in development for years, with Gibson’s personal issues derailing things for many years.

Lin mentioning Richard Donner potentially coming back to direct is interesting to say the least since Donner is 89 and hasn’t directed anything since 2006’s 16 Blocks.
