Lupita Nyong’o To Star In A Quiet Place: Day One

A Quiet Place: Day One has found its lead, with Lupita Nyong’o set to star in the horror spinoff. Variety reports that Nyong’o (Us, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) will play the lead role in the film.

Plot details are under wraps for the spinoff, which comes from an original idea by franchise creator John Krasinski. Michael Sarnoski (PIg) is directing the film, which is expected to release in 2025.

The first two A Quiet Place films grossed a total of $631.5 million domestically against a production budget total of $78 million. A third film in the main franchise is on the way, with Krasinski back to direct it.
