Mad Max Prequel Furiosa Begins Production In Australia

The highly-anticipated Mad Max prequel Furiosa is officially filming, with production on the film kicking off yesterday. Chris Hemsworth posted to Twitter to reveal that the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road has begun in Australia, sharing a set photo as you can see below.
The film is being described as the biggest ever made in Australia and is set to star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role originated by Charlize Theron, as well as Hemsworth and Tom Burke. Directed by Mad Max franchise creator George Miller, the film is set to release on May 24, 2024.
Furiosa is a standalone film that will look into the origins of the title character, who was first seen in Fury Road.
