With Avengers: Endgame looming on the horizon, many of the franchise’s top stars are constantly being interviewed. Infinity War was known for killing off several superheroes and according to Mark Ruffalo, he wasn’t certain that Hulk was going to make it out or not, based on filming, claiming to have taken two very different takes of the final film.

“I didn’t know until I saw the movie,” he said in an interview with Yahoo. “For one take, I did disappear, and then the other one I didn’t.”

Marvel Studios have been noted in their past for their great lengths at avoiding spoilers, such as editing characters out of trailers and filming false scenes to mislead leakers. This was presumably another example. Due to Ruffalo’s history with spoilers himself, it was potentially a failsafe against such a thing.

“I was pretty sure it was gonna be me,” Ruffalo claimed. “It’s like Survivor. It’s like, who’s gonna get kicked off the island? And I probably should’ve [been]. It’s like Project Runway for leakers.”

Avengers: Endgame opens on April 26th.
