Marvel Studios debuted the official teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps today at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The inaugural trailer launch featured a live audience and key cast members at the event, which was livestreamed in real time with the Saturn 5 rocket serving as the backdrop. You can check out the newly revealed teaser trailer below.

Cast members in attendance at today’s event included stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who commandeered the countdown and launch surrounded by fans outside of the National Geographic Theater. Angélique Roché hosted the event which also included a Q&A with the stars.

The new trailer showcases the iconic First Family in a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Moss-Bachrach) must face their most daunting challenge yet and defend the earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).

The upcoming feature also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Besides the main cast, the teaser trailer also offers glimpses of the main cast, HERBIE, and Galactus himself. It looks like Marvel Studios is utilizing a more faithful adaptation of Galactus this time in contrast to the version of the entity who appeared in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, who appeared as a cosmic storm with only hints of his iconically shaped helmet as first drawn by artist Jack Kirby.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is directed by Matt Shakman and produced by Kevin Feige. The film is executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis. It arrives in theaters on July 25.
