The cast for the upcoming Spaceballs sequel is beefing up with the returning Mel Brooks and Bill Pullman, plus a new cast member in Lewis Pullman. THR reports that Brooks will be reprising his role as Yogurt in the film and that Bill Pullman will return as Lone Star. In addition, Lewis Pullman has joined his father the cast, which also stars Keke Palmer and Josh Gad. Rick Moranis and Daphne Zuniga are also expected to reprise their roles as Dark Helmet and Vespa.

The site reports that while overall plot details are under wraps, sources indicate that Lewis Pullman will play (appropriately enough) Starburst, the sun of Vespa and Lone Starr. Palmer will be playing a character named Destinay and Lewis Pullman, Palmer, and Gad are the leads.

The film will be directed by Josh Greenbaum from a script by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez and Josh Gad. The original Spaceballs, while not a hit at the time of its release, has become a favorite among Brooks fans.
