The Mission: Impossible franchise’s next installments have been delayed again, with the next two films moved to 2023 and 2024. According to THR, Paramount and Skydance have delayed Mission: Impossible 7 from September 30th, 2022 to July 14th, 2023 and Mission: Impossible 8 from July 7th, 2023 to June 28th, 2024.

The films have been pushed several times due to the pandemic, with the first originally set for July 2021 before being bumped to December 2021, then November 2021, then May 27th, 2022, and then September 30th, 2022.

“After thoughtful consideration, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have decided to postpone the release dates for Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 in response to delays due to the ongoing pandemic. The new release dates will be July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively. We look forward to providing moviegoers with an unparalleled theatrical experience,” said Paramount and Skydance in a statement.

Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible – Fallout) is back to direct both films. The films will star Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney and Charles Parnell.
