My Spy 2 Cast Announced With Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman Returning
My Spy 2 is officially going into production, and the cast for the Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman-starring sequel has been announced. Deadline reports that Bautista and Coleman will be back for the second entry in the family action-comedy series, as will Kristen Schaal, Ken Jeong, Nicola Correia-Damude, Noah Dalton Danby, and Devere Rogers. They will be joined by newcomers Anna Faris, Craig Robinson, Flula Borg, Billy Barratt, and Taeho K.
The new film will see a now-teenage Sophie (Coleman) convinces JJ (Bautista) to chaperone her school choir trip to Italy where they both unwittingly end up pawns in an international terrorist plot targeting CIA Chief, David Kim and his son, Collin — who also happens to be Sophie’s best friend.
Peter Segal and Erich & Jon Hoeber are back as directors and writers respectively for the film, which follows up on the hit 2020 comedy in which JJ, a hardened CIA operative, found himself at the mercy of nine-year-old Sophie after being sent undercover to surveil her family.
“We were so delighted with the success of My Spy. It is an absolute privilege to reunite with Pete Segal, Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, and the rest of the talented cast and filmmakers–along with some very exciting additions,” said Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon and MGM Studios. “With the sequel, our Prime Video customers are in store for another dynamic story, complete with twists, hilarious performances, and even a little romance.”
