Young Rock is done at NBC, who have cancelled the sitcom after three seasons. Deadline reports that the network made the decision today not to go ahead with a fourth season of the sitcom, which starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and looked at different eras of his life growing up and in WWE.
The show also starred Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Ana Tuisila, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Fasitua Amosa, John Tui and Matthew Willig. The first season was a hit for the network, though the ratings dipped in season two and again in the third season that premiered in November of 2022. The most recent season averaged a 0.25 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 1.4 million viewers in a Friday night timeslot.
It had been reported in May that the show was on the bubble for renewal after it wasn’t mentioned in the network’s fall sechedule at their upfront presentation.
