NBC Reportedly Casting For Peter Maivia in Young Rock Season Two

WWE Hall of Famer “High Chief” Peter Maivia will reportedly be portrayed in season two of Young Rock. PWInsider reports that producers are casting for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s legendary grandfather for the second season, which begins production in Australia later this year.

According to the report, the show is seeking someone to portray Maivia in the 1970s when he is in his 30s. He is described in the casting as the founder of Polynesian Pro Wrestling in Hawaii and someone who is “standing up” for another wrestler.

This would be the first time Maivia has been seen in the series, and the casting notes he may become a recurring or series regular role. Ana Tuisila plays his wife Lia Maivia.
