New Percy Jackson and The Olympians Teaser Previews Disney+ Series

Disney+ has revealed a new teaser for their Percy Jackson and The Olympians series, previewing what to expect from the young adult adaptation. You can see the teaser below for the series, which launches with a two-episode premiere on December 20th.

The series is is based on the Rick Riordan novel series, with Riordan writing the first two episodes alongside co-showrunner Jon Steinberg. It stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries Aryan Simhadri, Adam “Edge” Copeland, Glynn Turman, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Megan Mullally, Toby Stephens, the late Lance Reddick, Jason Mantzoukas, Jay Duplass, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Olivea Morton, Suzanne Cryer, Timm Sharp and Timothy Omundson. The synopsis reads:

Percy Jackson & The Olympians tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.
