The Spider-Verse expands in the new live-action series, Spider-Noir, which debuts next month on Prime Video. Prime debuted the full trailer for the series this weekend, featuring Cage’s Ben Reilly facing off against the 1930s version of Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson), Electro, and more supervillains. You can check out the new trailer below.

The new series features a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator, Ben Reilly, who lives in 1930s New York. Reilly is forced to grapple with his past life after a deeply personal tragedy, becoming the city’s only superhero.

Cage previously voiced the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Other cast members include Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, and Jack Huston.

The Marvel Comics adaptation was developed by Oren Uziel, Steve Lightfoot, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and directed by Harry Bradbeer. It’s executive produced by Harry Bradbeer, Oren Uziel, Steve Lightfoot, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Pascal, Aditya Sood, and Dan Shear.

The “Noir” version of Spider-Man made his Marvel Comics debut in 2009 in the Spider-Man: Noir comic, created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, Carmine Di Giandemonico, and Marko Marko Djurdjević. The character hails from an alternate universe, showcasing a noir-themed, hard-boiled version of Spider-Man who emerges in New York City during the Great Depression.

The upcoming series will stream in dual formats. It will be available both in “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.” Spider-Noir debuts on May 27 on Prime Video.
