Obi-Wan Kenobi Moving Back Two Days, Two Episodes Set For Premiere

Disney+ has bumped back the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi by a couple of days, but is adding a second episode to said premiere. Ewan McGregor announced in a video posted to the Star Wars YouTube account that the show will now premiere on Friday, May 27th which is two days later than the original May 25th date.

In addition, he noted that the first two episodes will premiere together. You can see the video below.

The series stars McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. It is described as follows:

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
