Pedro Pascal To Co-Star In Gladiator Sequel

Pedro Pascal is going into battle, signing up for a role in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel. Deadline reports that the Mandalorian and Last Of Us star has in final talks on to play an as-yet-unrevealed role in the follow-up to the 2000 hit, joining a cast that includes Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington.

Scott is back to direct the film from a script by David Scarpa. The film follows the events of the Oscar-winning blockbuster that starred Russell Crowe as Maximums, a Roman general-turned-gladiator. While details on the plot have been kept under wraps, it has been reported that Mescal will play play Lucius, the son of Nielson’s Lucilla from the first film and the nephew of the villain Commodus who is grown up. Lucian was saved by Maximus at the end of the first film along with his mother.

The film is set to release on November 22nd.
