Peter Dinklage Joins Cast of Alien: Earth Season 2 as New Series Regular

As first reported by Deadline, Emmy-winning actor Peter Dinklage has signed on for xenomorph fun, as he will be joining the cast of FX’s Alien: Earth Season 2 for the show’s upcoming second season.

Dinklage is reportedly playing a new series regular for the show from Fargo creator Noah Hawley. No details are available yet on who he’s playing.

The first season of Alien: Earth starred Sydney Chandler as a humanoid robot named Wendy. The first season’s cast also included Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

Peter Dinklage is best known to television viewers as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, for which he won multiple Primetime Emmy Awards and also a Golden Globe. The actor has played in the FX sandbox before, previously appearing in the network’s hit series, Nip/Tuck, where he had a major recurring role. He also guest starred on The Lowdown Season 1.

Deadline also notes that Season 2 of Alien: Earth is slated to start filming in May at London’s Pinewood Studios, where the original 1979 movie, Alien 3, and the prequel Prometheus were also filmed. The first season previously filmed in Thailand.

Alien: Eaarth is created for TV and executive produced by Noah Hawley. David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, Emilia Serrano, Bob DeLaurentis, Peter Calloway, Monica Macer, John Campisi, and Simon Emanuel also executive produced the series. The who is produced by FX Productions.

The first season of Alien: Earth is also available to stream now on Hulu.
