The End of the F—ing World Director In Talks to Direct Power Rangers Reboot

The Hollywood Reporter reports that The End of the F—ing World director Jonathan Entwistle is in talks to direct Paramount’s upcoming Power Rangers feature film reboot.

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was a TV hit in the 1990s and focused on a group of children who became superheroes. A movie was released in 1995. An attempt at rebooting the franchise with more of an edge included the release of a new movie in 2017, but it bombed, earning $142 million worldwide, stopping the reboot in its tracks.

The new film aims to bring the franchise back to its roots, including a time travel component that brings the present-day kids back to the 1990s.
