A Quiet Place Sequel Confirmed for May 2020 Release, John Krasinski Slated to Return as Director

John Krasinski announced on his Twitter account today that the planned sequel for his 2018 sleeper hit, A Quiet Place, will be released on May 15, 2020. You can check out his announcement below.

Additionally, Deadline.com reports today that Krasinski is now on board to direct the sequel. He was previously attached to write the film, but there was some doubt on him returning to direct as well.

Additionally, the deal has been closed for Emily Blunt to return to the film. Her onscreen children, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, are also reportedly in talks to reprise their roles for the first film.

The first A Quiet Place was released in April 2018, grossing $188 million domestic and $340 million worldwide of a $17 million, making it a sizable hit. The film also earned great reviews from critics, scoring 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
